My Trip to Dubai and what that meant for reading

September 20, 2014 Uncategorized 3

Hey all,

So I went on holidays to Dubai in August and because of that I wasn’t able to post.  I was however able to read, I mean 36 hours there and 24 hours back on the plane and of course I could not afford 1st class so I was up the entire time.  So I read 10 books during that time and with school starting right afterwards I haven’t really had time to do many of the views.  I do have lots of pictures though.

This trip was very enlightening and I really loved Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  The culture is great, there is tons of history, which me being a history major was awesome, we did the highest and fastest available.  There are alot of misconceptions on how Dubai and Islamic people are and it was a great learning experience for me.

I went to Dubai a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed myself too! Yes, it was a long flight, but nothing at all scary about the destination. Went to a couple of souks and was amazed by the quantity of gold and bling in the shops! We also took a desert safari and that was great fun with interesting food and culture too. I’d be happy to go back again one day. There’s so much I didn’t get to see.

Madison, We went to the Gold Souk as well and it was so cool, I got a LOT of gifts for family. We did the City Tour, the Desert Safari, and the Dubai Creek Dhow Dinner Cruise. I didn’t get a chance to go to a Mosque which I was really bummed about and we didn’t get to the beach other than during the city tour.
