In hindsight, I should not have had that fifth mimosa at Breakfast with Santa.
Or the sixth, seventh, and eighth.
But my shame over the public meltdown that resulted was nothing compared to being abandoned by my husband of fifteen years for a much younger woman—and did I mention she’s pregnant?
For the sake of my children and my pride, I packed up and headed for my childhood home and the small town where I grew up. Cloverleigh Farms would be the perfect place for a fresh start.
Falling for Henry DeSantis wasn’t part of the plan.
Sure, he’s easy on the eyes and hard in the bedroom (also the hallway, the bathtub, and on top of his desk), but he’s newly divorced too, and things between us are moving so fast I’m afraid neither one of us has had enough time to heal. Not to mention the fact that I’m a single mom now—my kids have to come first.
But Henry makes me feel beautiful and sexy and wanted and strong—I haven’t felt that way in years. We understand each other, and when I’m in his arms, I’m tempted to trust again. To love again. To let myself be loved without fear.
But deep down, I’m terrified.
Is this all too much, too soon? Or am I a fool to let a second chance at happily ever after pass me by?

Imagine the pain of knowing your marriage is over. Add to that misery the knowledge that your husband has already moved on with his life in more ways than one. Keeping your chin up is hard when you have two innocent children watching the chaos unfold. Sylvia knows the burden of maintaining appearances, but it still doesn’t ease the heartache that betrayal leaves in its wake.
After a bit of overindulgence during a Christmas party, Sylvia decides to seek comfort in the welcoming arms of her family. Moving home seems like the best solution for Sylvia and her children. Cloverleigh Farms has always been the place that Sylvia called home, and there is no better place that she can think of to rebuild her life. What Sylvia didn’t count on was finding a kindred spirit in Henry. The two are both experiencing a great betrayal. As the pull of their hearts pulls Sylvia and Henry together, will the chaos from their respective marriages force them apart?
*Sigh* I love each and every visit to Cloverleigh Farms. Sylvia’s story was one that so many people can relate to….a betrayal in the marriage that upends your whole world. The sorrow that Sylvia and her children experienced tugged at your soul. That peace of coming home could be felt in each word. Henry’s attraction to Sylvia was a great surprise, and you couldn’t help hoping that these two broken souls would connect from sorrow.
Melanie Harlow transports readers on a journey that will pull you in the moment Sylvia picks up the microphone!! Unbreakable is definitely a story of redemption, heartache, and answering the tendrils of love. Henry stole the show in this story…..the trip down Santa Lane was pretty epic too.
