With the prospect of a summer spent abroad, Aspen couldn’t wait to start her trek looking through the lens of her camera. Spending the last moments that can be soaked up with her boyfriend, Aspen finds herself crossing paths with the owner of the yacht her boyfriend is employed upon. What Aspen didn’t expect was a job offer that was too good to be true. Theo offers to ‘hire’ Aspen to take photos in exchange for travel about his yacht for the summer.
The offer from Theo was a chance of a lifetime. It also provided Aspen the ability to spend more time with her boyfriend Joel. As the two shared their journey together, Aspen quickly realized she didn’t really know her boyfriend at all. While Aspen found herself quickly becoming distant with Joel, a connection was drawing her closer to Theo. With excursions that offered views of a lifetime, the young photographer slowly realized life through the lens was changing with every click of the shutter.
Close Quarters is the latest release from Kandi Steiner. It is an angsty romance that captures the sights and sounds of life on the high seas. What it also provided was an interesting romance that definitely kept me guessing where Aspen’s life would lead her next. Theo was an unexpected part of the story. Why?? All billionaires are not equal. This handsome tycoon was just the ticket to help Aspen blossom as a person. Their journey was more than I expected, and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the twists along the way. Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
