Hi everyone! I’m so excited to share Cecy/Shayna on the blog today, as most of you know I have major love for this author and as the title of this post shows there is quite a bit going down here today!! Cecy is such a wonderful author and person, when I messaged her about a review copy of Cursed by Destiny (Review) even though her slots were full for her blog tour she added an extra day just for me! It’s authors like her, and many we’ll be spotlighting this month, that make blogging so awesome not to mention all you readers out there. So before I start with the interview I’m going to give you an idea of who Cecy sees as her characters.

Dream Cast

Celia- Emmy Robson
Style: "Portrait B&W - low key"
Taran—Emmanuelle Chriqui
emmanuelle-chriqui
Shayna—Jennifer Lawrence

Misha—Taylor Kitsch

So, what do you guys think? I think they are all great choices personally, I didn’t quite picture Emme to look so young, but it fits. And helllooo I’m now even more in love with Misha than I was before, Taylor Kitsch is one of my favorite guys!!! So on to Shayna now that you have a better idea who to imagine for the people discussed below! (Keep in mind we did this interview before CbD came out so if you’ve read it then some of this we already know, if not nothing gets spoiled for you.)

Character Interview

Me: So Shayna, you can turn little, harmless objects into weapons, that’s awesome, any limits?

Shayna: Totally. The objects I manipulate and sharpen have to be natural objects—wood works the best. I also have to hold or wear something metal in order to transfer the alloy. The transformation, however, isn’t permanent once the object leaves my hands. If it was, Taran would lock my butt in my room and force me to make jewelry.

Me: Does what happened in ACE effect your opinion of Aric?

Shayna: If we’re being honest, yeah, it does. This is a wolf who would light up any time he saw Celia—he couldn’t rip his eyes off my sister! What he did, I never saw coming—no way. But . . . I think Celia always expected it.

Me: I agree, I also feel Celia is a bit more jaded than the rest of you…How did you feel when you first saw Koda at the bar/club?

Shayna: Oh, I knew I had my Puppy the moment I saw him! *shrugs* I just, you know, never expected I’d fall so hard for him.

Me: Awww. Who of your sisters are you most protective?

Shayna: To see us and how we interact, I think most would say Emme—our baby sister. But actually, it’s Celia. She has the biggest heart . . . and she’ll be the most tested.

Me: That she is. What is your best quality? Your sisters?

Shayna: My best quality? *giggles* It depends on who you ask. Celia would say my ability to stay positive. Koda would for sure say something else. *blushes* As far as my sisters I’d say Emme is our hope. You’d be surprised how many bad things have screwed up our lives. But, there’s good ol’ Emme, believing we’ll make it out alive—even when some scary monster is like, trying to eat her. Celia’s definitely our strength. And Taran, her, ah, assertiveness keeps us focused. She doesn’t take any shit—her words, not mine, dude!

Me: Oh Taran! Your powers and your sisters powers seem to go wonky occasionally, what does yours do?

Shayna: Mine aren’t as bad now that I have better control. But when I didn’t? Whoa, Nellie, I had the worst aim. Don’t tell anyone, but I once stabbed Celia in the ass cheek. It was like, a total accident, but boy, was she mad!

Me: Haha, I’m sure, but can it really be worse than having a vampire bite you there? Before everything went to hell in a hand basket what did you girls do for fun?

Shayna: Shop and dance—oh, and make out with hot werewolves.

Me: What is your comfort food?

Shayna: Anything I can eat off of Koda’s rock hard abs . . . oh, I’m sorry. That’s probably not what you meant.

Me: Towards the end of ACE, shit hit the fan for you, what does what happened mean for your powers?

Shayna: Oh, girl, I can’t tell you that! You’ll have to wait until CURSED BY DESTINY and A CURSED BLOODLINE to see what happens. Let’s just say, readers may be surprised by what they read.

Me: (Boy was I surprised) Everything, for the most part worked out okay, but what does this mean for you and your sisters? Especially Celia?

Shayna: I think everyone will assume things worked out. *shakes head and nibbles on lip* In truth, the worst has only begun.

Shayna thank you so much for stopping by and talking with us here today and Cecy, thank you for writing such wonderful stories for us to get caught up in!
