I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur.

Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching.

But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible.

The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass.

I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do. Because now that I’ve seen all of her, I can’t look away.

MY REVIEW

What can you do when you discover the money you should have for college is suddenly gone? If you are Oaklyn Deringer, you try to find a way to come up with the much needed funds to stay enrolled in school. This quest for funds led Oaklyn to an exclusive and upscale club called Voyeur. A place where anything is possible if you can imagine it.

Callum is dealing with the stresses of dating. With a past that drives him to seek comfort from the confines of Voyeur, Callum is stricken by the young lady that works at the exclusive club. Imagine Callum’s surprise when he crosses paths with Oaklyn outside of the club. As a professor, the last thing Callum expected was to discover one of the women from Voyeur sitting in his classroom.

As the attraction Callum feels for Oaklyn intensifies, the one thing that holds him back is his role as professor. That doesn’t stop Callum from going to Voyeur to see Oaklyn perform. As Callum watches Oaklyn day in and day out, the need to have her grows in intensity. The attraction is certainly mutual, and Oaklyn worries about exposing their budding romance. Where will this forbidden attraction lead? It isn’t everyday that a professor and student find themselves in such a unique relationship outside of the confines of the classroom.

Where do I begin?? When I heard that this was one of the hottest student/teacher romance books out there, I didn’t hesitate to take a dive into this world that Fiona Cole created. The beginning of the book started out spectacular. A set of circumstances for Oaklyn led her to one of the most unique job prospects around! The impact of the attraction between Oaklyn and Callum was intense and lustful. It pulled me into the throws of the chemistry that was forbidden and enticing.

Then things took a downhill turn for me. As the story went along, the book lost the intensity that I felt when reading the beginning of this story. Once Oaklyn started helping Callum deal with the secrets from his past, I found myself feeling that story plot fall deeper and deeper into the lack of believability for  the couple’s plight. The reactions and feelings just came crashing to a halt for me. The more I read, the worse it became. It’s almost like the high point of the book came during the attraction stage. Leaving me disappointed when the beginning was so creative and original.

The intensity between Callum and Oaklyn was burning up with heat. Their time at Voyeur a HUGE draw to the forbidden…..until it wasn’t. The over the top reactions, secrets from Callum’s past, and the way the two characters handle what had befallen them was probably the point where things fell off for me. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The intensity in the beginning of this story held so much promise, and I hated when the plot began to unravel for me.

About Fiona Cole

I never imagined I would ever write a book. I wasn’t even really a reader until the age of twenty. But I picked up a romance and that was it for me. I fell in love. And then one day I stepped into this indie world of books and I started writing. Then I wrote enough to keep going. And then I had a book. Sometimes things happen when you least expect it, but it all falls into place. Writing is it for me.

I’m a stay at home mom with a degree in chemistry and biology. I LOVE science. If you get me started talking about biochemistry, it’s all over. I’ll rattle on for days! But I use all that knowledge to take care of my two little girls. Mostly while my husband is away being a soldier.

It’s taken me a long time to get here, but I like it … And I think I might stay a while.
