A new romantic comedy about love, letting go, and little green men from USA Today Bestselling author Daisy Prescott.
My father was abducted by aliens.
Or so I believed for the last eighteen years.
After my mother’s death, I moved to Roswell, capital of all things alien. I’m going to find out the truth and nothing will stop me . . . except Boone Santos.
Compared to the intergalactic tinfoil hat brigade, he’s a god amongst mere mortals. Too handsome for his own good (and mine), with a grumpy arrogance, and the most beautiful smile ever—he smashes my plan to pieces like a UFO crashing into the desert.
I need a tinfoil hat for my heart.
Do I believe in aliens? I’m not sure.
What do I believe? I’m not going to fall in love with Boone. Definitely not . . .
Finding herself saying goodbye to the life she once had, Lucy heads off on a quest to see if she can find out more information about the father that walked out on her family so long ago. After the death of her mother and the selling of her childhood home, Lucy realizes that she is all alone in life. The clues to tidbits about her father take Lucy to the land that is home to alien sightings and tourism. A far cry from the place she once called home.
Working as a waitress, Lucy crosses paths with all kinds of people. After all, Roswell is known for the unique and unexplained. There is one customer in particular that catches Lucy’s eye. Boone is a local that comes into the diner for breakfast and always sits in Lucy’s section. The two slowly throw a few flirtations around until the day comes that Boone finally lets Lucy know he is interested in more than pancakes.
Sparks begin to fly almost instantaneously for Lucy and Boone. Something that neither was prepared for. With Lucy’s quest for the truth about her father and Boone’s lack of personal information, the two seems to be keeping a bit of themselves from the other. A fact that will determine if this is more than a casual fling or a discovery that extends beyond UFOs!! With the heat that is brewing from their attraction, anything is possible when love comes into play.
What a unique and interest journey that Daisy Prescott leads her readers upon. A deviation from her normal romance writing style, Prescott leads fans on a tale of the mysteries surrounding Roswell while adding a love story to the mix. All of the characters in this story will add more depth to the events that Roswell is famous for, and bring Lucy and Boone’s journey full circle. While I adored the plot of this book, I can’t help but feel ‘slighted’ where Lucy’s father is concerned. The connection and journey for Lucy just felt not completed for me. Otherwise – Boone definitely stole the show in this unique and interesting love story.
